What is a Lancia Certificate of Conformity (Lancia COC)?

The Lancia Certificate of Conformity, or Lancia COC, is an official document issued by the manufacturer that certifies and proves that your Lancia vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for vehicle registration, including:

• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

• Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version

• CO₂ emissions rate

• Engine power, type of transmission, and maximum speed

• Fuel consumption, engine displacement, and noise level

The European Lancia Certificate of Conformity includes more than 52 technical data items required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.

Why do you need a Lancia COC?

This document is mandatory for registering a vehicle for the first time, or for importing or exporting a vehicle within the European Union. Government authorities require motorists to provide this document as proof that the vehicle has been approved (homologated). Each Lancia COC is issued by Alfa Romeo’s homologation department.

New Lancia vehicles normally come with the Certificate of Conformity free of charge. For a used Lancia vehicle, or in the event of a lost COC, it is necessary to order a duplicate Lancia COC.

The Lancia Certificate of Conformity is required to:

• Import a Lancia into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or the United Kingdom

• Export a Lancia to another EU Member State

• Register a Lancia in another European country

• Correct your Lancia vehicle registration certificate
